Not underneath the finish he didn't. That would be some trick.

the other more obvious thing is that mosrites didn't have the 2 dot inlay pass the 12th fret until the 1980's. It wouldn't surprised me to find one like that before the 80's but it would have been the exception, not the rule. also this guitar would show more aging, even if it was kept in the case for all this time.
I'm not gonna get into attacking Ed, the few times I had spoken with him he was cool to me. a little brash, but cool.
Cheers,
Aaron

There is always the option of spraying clear coat over the signature. (I didn't see a signature on the guitar though) Also, This could be a lie but it says "Original owner for 45 years" And you have to remember one offs and the fact that Mosrite did whatever they could to get guitars out of the door so who knows, Maybe this is an unusual one off or maybe it is an 80s model.

Reads (upside down): "Mosrite Forever Semie Moseley 19XX" (date obscured by tuner)

Look familiar?

Here’s a view of ‘Ed Roman’s headstock’ from a different angle and contrast. Notice the shoddy placement of the tuners…the person who drilled the holes and/or mounted the tuners must’ve had a hangover at the factory on that day.
