the guitar district in tokyo is concentrated in ochanomizu. take the JR chuo (orange) or sobu (yellow) line to ochanomizu, or the chiyoda subway line to shin-ochanomizu, get out and walk around. it's a couple solid blocks of nothing but guitar shops. should find just about everything you're looking for. if you're intent on a mosrite hunt, i can tell you where to go too, but it'll probably take you out of your way. there are a handful of shops concentrated on one side of shibuya station as well. feel free to pm me if you need help.

If you wish to, I can take you there during one or two days. But there're not so much second handed MIJ clone at the shops in Tokyo as you expect.

Hey rynaro, good luck with your Mosrite- and Jaguar hunt! I visited Japan 18 years ago with my wife (now ex) and some friends and enjoyed Tokyo and surrounding area very much. I found Japan to be a lovely country and I noticed quite a few similarities with my country too :) . Regretfully my mind was not tuned to the Mosrite wavelength at the time or else... :(

Enjoy your stay!

HAHAHAHAHA dammm knew i forgot to pack something!!

OKOK here i am in Tokyo I am meeting up with arpsum on thursday for a big day of mosrites, but today i was in shubya to meet another aussie here in tokyo and spotted a music store, i played a 63 custom which was amazing but out of my price range! and found a few really cheap new mustangs but i played a really obscure blue sparkle "mosrite built with soul & a round symbol (where ventures goes)" the body was upside down but still right handed trem, dials and the 3 way switch was positioned like a les paul. the pickup was a dual rail humbucker at the bridge .... sorry i couldn't take a photo cause the guy stopped me when i pulled out my camera.
I have gone over fillmore's site and there is nothing .. anyone seen one of these crazy ones??
the price was good 120000Y new but not the guitar for me.
