The Americans Are Coming...

Postby raygun85 » Sun Mar 27, 2011 12:29 pm

Hey everybody,
we weren't sure if we wanted to let the cat out of the bag since my dad (the primary builder of these axes) just had knee surgery and will be out of commission for awhile. He's recovering well and we should be able to accept orders within another month or so. These aren't the greatest product images (just snapped them on the floor of the office) but I showed them to Mel and he encouraged us to put them on the forum. So here goes:

Looks great! Is that Fiesta Red? I'd like to see a better view of the headstock.

what's the name of the company? it's not really visible from the photos.
A little bit of knowledge can be a dangerous thing.

Your prototype is a beauty! Do you have a Shade vibrato on this one? And what kind of bridge is on it?

They are M-3 California. They've been gathering a very good reputation for their Mosrite replacement pickups. Heck, I might order a pair of pups from them for my Ventures II.

Elliot,
I've got a set of three M3 RH-100 pickups in my Meshugga-Mark. These are split output so I can switch between 7K and 12K output. I love them!

Matt, you and your dad are to be commended on the hard work you have put in on those guitars and on your pickups. The attention to detail looks first-class and that red color is striking.

Hope your dad recovers completely and soon; I have a feeling both of you are going to be very busy!

Wow, thanks for all the responses. I'm trying to answer questions. The red is a color we mixed ourselves, we call it "red". I know, its not very clever. The bridge is the Rollermatic-style import bridge and the vibrato is our's.

This is our "Standard" model...standard RH-100 pickups and electronics, half-size vibrato, no-binding. The "Deluxe" model will be the Cadillac with Dual-Tone pickups (like Mel's) w/ Hot Circuits, Deluxe full-size vibrato, Kluson tuners, and 3-ply bound body. Both guitars come with a hardshell case.

Of course, everything is customizable. We just have to adjust the final price. We've even had an inquiry about building a model with the M88 style body, humbuckers, and a 25.5" scale. And another guy wants a 3-pickup model with the compensated aluminum bridge and our Dual-Tone pickups. (Gee...I wonder who that could be?)
