Kurokumo's current range

In my current phase of exploring Kurokumo guitars I had a look at their website and thought I might share what they currently make and offer for those of you who might be interested. Seems they have overhauled their model range?

Surfrider '65 - Available only via online orders, it's based on a '65 Super Custom, has L-2000 PUs, has the 'Vibraroller' system which is based on the Vibramute, roller bridge, saddle lock, Maple on Rose Neck (quoting from the site), Basswood Body, 3 ply pickguard, M Mark type tuners. Black, Pearl White and Sunburst, 108000 Yen, $1379 USD. Gig bag only

Bumblebee, same as the Surfrider, except they use Vintage Clone Parts (there is a link in the description) and the tremelo unit is made by Gotoh. 123000 Yen, $1572 USD including Hardcase

Telstar '64, L-4000 PU giving it a big clean sound, all else is the same? 158000 Yen, $2020 USD including hardcase

Black Night '65, L-2800 PUs. Apparently Rock guitarists have given them great feedback about this model and love the sound 138000 Yen, $1763 including hard case

They post free to anywhere in Japan but do not post internationally. All models can be customised and their parts upgraded as you specify.
If you have any specific questions I may be able to answer them for you. I just found this stuff interesting as I perused through the site. Last time I saw the Kurokumos in Japan they had different names for their models and included 'Ventures' on the headstock, which they don't anymore.

What makes the "Telstar '64" different from the other models? I can kinda figure out how they are all different, but not the '64.

I'm not so sure about that, Jim. Go on the website (linked in OP post) and check out the "Telstar 64". I don't see any binding. I know this was true on the previous '64 model from Kurokumo (Super Custom '64 ???). There is quite a bit of Japanese text--there must be something going on with the Telstar 64 that the others don't have.

G'day Strat. As far as I can tell from what they have quoted, the main feature that distinguishes the guitars from one another is the pick-ups they have, so the Telstar '64 has L-4000 PUs and they do mention that this guitar has a big clean sound with great tone, implying that it is their premier guitar. (It can be ordered in mettalic colours and customised)

@paulramon - Unfortunately I have already asked them about this a few months ago and they only post to a Japanese domestic address, so unless you know someone in Japan who can ship one for you, it can't be done.

By the way, I forgot to mention in the original post that they also do a smaller version suitable for women and children (just quoting here folks, but I know Japan has a number of female surf guitarists), called the 'Picolo'.
