Set Neck vs. Bolt On

Postby MozRite » Sat May 18, 2019 6:44 pm

For Mosrite what's the advantage of set neck vs. bolt on? This in terms of feel, tone, reliability and other related areas.

Thank You,

If both are done properly, in theory it should not matter substantially.
Just my opinion.

I agree with Dan. One thought that occurs to me is given the Mosrite speed frets having the ability to shim a neck as well as adjust a truss rod might be advantageous. For Mosrite, I think i'd prefer a bolt on neck.

Both Stratocaster and Les Paul's are very successful instruments, and both are very different, one bolt on one fixed.
I like the ability to adjust a bolt on neck, so like Sarah that is where I lean.
