I hadn't realised you could order Mosrites directly from Japan? What is the quality like on the Fillmore guitars? I'm not sure I can handle this Mosrite fever any more. I need a fix.

I wish someone who spoke English and who isn't a crook (i.e. E. Roman) dealt with Mosrites. Someone fill the niche.. please?!

BTW, I put on a set of 10's, balanced out the pickups a bit more and my Hallmark 60 just keeps gettin' better...at least to these geezer ears!!

Uhmm…..yes, a perfect match………………………in SOUND, for sure.........but as gplayer had already suggested earlier on, “If you wear mauve bellbottoms and a hot pink shirt....no one will even notice”

To be honest, we can think of better matches aesthetically of course BUT...they are both VERY cool items in their own right and deserve better representation on stage.
So now here’s what can be done to remedy the situation: (am I sounding like "Freddy" of the Scooby-Doo gang?)

1.) get a second Hallmark 60 Custom in the colour CANDY INK BLUE to match up with the Knotty Pine Blues …
and if there’s still some sawdust and solder fumes left...
2.) construct yet another Vaughn amp, but this time in the colour SUNSET SPARKLE!

Absolutely gorgeous! Gotta get one of those. The Sunset Sparkle looks better here than on the Hallmark website. Dreamy guitar, man.

This is just an FYI...but with the factory height setting, to my ears the pickups in my Hallmark 60 sounded a bit compressed and lacked a little dynamic range (depending on the player, this could be a good or bad thing). Anyway, I lowered both pickups until I started hearing the overall dynamic range I wanted but then the D & G strings were a little too low in volume compared to the other strings. So I raised the pickup's D & G pole screws slightly for those two strings to equalize the volume across all 6 strings, rebalanced the pickups height slightly again, and now I have the tone & dynamics I like. The tone is now a little brighter, less compressed and more defined...at least to my ears . It took about an hour to get the pickups tuned in the way I like them and it was well worth the effort. I just thought you Hallmark 60 owners might want to give this a try if you hear the compression I heard at the pickups factory height setting. Then, I spent a couple of hours on youtube playing along with some Ventures songs and I was quite surprised how closer my tone was to what I was hearing. Now, if I could only hit the right notes at the right time . Mosrite clone or not, as I get her tuned in, this guitar continues to impress me and my Strats have been feeling a little lonely lately .
