.......funny.......We always see a boatload of members asking others to 'post a pic' of what they just bought, sold,
traded, pawned, etc. I never thought that I would see the day in which I'm looking at a gorgeous 'Drop Dead' Red
'64.....and I'm now going to request....what the story is on this beauty.......
make the Mos' of it, choose the 'rite stuff.

That's stunning! Interesting that it's got the big Ventures logo; I thought that went away around the same time as the body binding. Maybe a transitional model. Either that's a a closet classic or an excellent restoration. One way or another, congratulations!

And one from the '70s. Was pointed out to me that Combo bodies were produced only in the '60s. I believe this came from a small run of early bodies mated to later necks with closely matched finishes.

Reber, I see you had to sell off all the furniture in this 'room' -bar one chair. I'm sure it was worth it though!

Nice! And that Combo has humbuckers on it ... Again - were these restorations, or are these all original?

Hmm, so what's it mean when your free image hosting service replaces your picture with a apologetic placeholder? I'm guessing that picture burned through its bandwidth quota.

No restorations here. All original. I added a few instruments in the last year or so. Thought I'd take the time to roll them out now.

The '64 is quite amazing. I'll just leave it at that.

The Combo, among the points already made, has that generous cut to the pickguard. I was bracing for a big blemish underneath, but nothing ugly appeared and it looks original to the '70s remodel.
