Neck width debate

I've been searching for this info throughout past threads, but thought it might be best to have a consolidated thread discussing the different neck widths.

From what I gather, the slimmest are the original vintage Mosrites and the Hallmark's have a wider neck that a lot of people seem to rave about.

How do the different MIJ necks compare?

How about other knock-offs? Eastwood, Univox Hi-Fliers, Dillion etc.

My Ventures II (Third Generation) Model (Which is an early Mark V model) Has a width at the nut somewhere in the range of 1.440 to 1.452. Off the top of my head I can't recall how thick my Brass Rail Deluxe is at the nut, I think its over 1.650 though. I also played an Eastwood Hi Flyer in 2008, I couldn't tell you just how thick the nut width was but it was much thicker than my Ventures II neck.

Original Mosrite's were 1 1/2"x1/2". Hallmark 1 5/8" x3/4". Most of the Knockoffs are thicker. I don't know about the MIJ.

My Mos Japan is the thinnest neck I've ever played, very narrow at the nut and thickness from fretboard to back.

My Guyatone knockoff is a a little wider with a very round c shaped neck, very nice to play when setup correctly.

I played a Dillon/Harlem here in OZ and the neck was big and clumsy feeling.
Same went for the Eastwood Sidejack that I played. Was dissapointed as I thought they looked nice.

My 70's? MIJ Firstman/Fillmore has a very narrow neck, similar to an original Mosrite I would imagine. I also have an Eastwood Sidejack that has a medium size neck - not narrow and not wide, and not really chunky.
