Moseley by Semie Moseley
As you can see, this is a Blues Bender style body, but on the peghead it says Moseley by Semie Moseley. Anyone know anything or have comments? Thanks.

Re: Moseley by Semie Moseley
Without seeing it in person if I had to guess, it looks to me like someone re-finished it and used decals for the lettering on the headstock as they did not have an alternative. As you see, the font is nothing like the original 70's screen print work. As well another custom feature is it has a Mosley arch top tailpiece that was not originally featured on this model.
Having said all that, it is really cool and I like it.
Hope this helps,
Bob

Re: Moseley by Semie Moseley
Thanks for the opinion Bob. And by the way, I just recently bought the tremolo arm on this one from you to replace the original broken one. It's a perfect fit. I kind of believe the red is the original color, as is the peghead lettering. This guitar has been in my family for about 30 years in this condition. I've always wondered if maybe it was a custom build done during the time Semie was located in Oklahoma City. But who knows. I will post some better pictures soon. Thanks again and yes, it is a very cool guitar.

That is entirely possible it is a one off. It is hard to evaluate in this photograph and as I said, it is just a guess based on production models.
Thanks for the review on the replacement arm and I am glad it worked out for you!

A close up picture of the headstock would help. Standard Mosrites have silk screened logos, not decals, so I would expect the same here. Regardless, it's a really cool guitar!

I have not found a serial number yet, but the tuners are Schaller. They have the Schaller "S" on them and say Made in W Germany.

Re: Moseley by Semie Moseley
the fact that the tuners were made in WEST Germany means they were made between 1949 and 1990 so that might help date the guitar.
