On a related note, does anybody have a idea whether having "The Ventures" on the headstock discouraged other bands from using Mark I/IIs?

Mel, I am so proud of you I feel honoured to have this little "Mosrite/Elliott/Waldorf connection" bestowed upon me...now, if only I were a rich man... ...MWaldorf wrote:Here, for Veenture

How about "The Ellicaster" - or "Elliott Elite" ...
So many guitars; So little time ..

I like Elite, but I think the 59 models fill that role more appropriately. I had considered the Elliott Essential or Elemental - this guitar pays homage to the essential Mosrite, and has all the elements of it.
Regardless, my vote would be not to have any reference to non-Mosrite model names - this guitar doesn't need the Fender mojo to hang it's hat on.
If there are going to be different tiers it could be, for instance, the Dynamica Mark I, Mark II and Mark III, maybe for how many pickups it has. Mark IV could be the bass, or a four pickup model, but I think even I wouldn't know what to do with that many pickups.
Whatever it winds up named, they are really cool!

Hey--
Top one of these should be the Elliott Eleganté, middle one should be the Elliott Elite, and basic one should be the Elliott Element.
Problem solved!

Some funny stuff, guys. I'm in the same camp as Mel. I even like Dynamica, with Mark 1,2 & 3. It doesn't sound like a Fender, yet it has a retro vibe to it, like the guitars. Save the Elegant and Elite for the high end "Panama Lane" models.
Look forward to seeing the RS with the German Carve.

Thanks Guys For all the input, I like all your ideas!
I really think Paul needs a E.F.Elliott "Veentures model" and Mel
needs a E.F.Elliott "Meshugga model".
You know what I think would be real cool??
Back in the day, when I started building custom guitars,
a custom guitar was a real personal thing, I inlayed customers
names in the fingerboards, for smaller budgets I did names in script
dry-transfer lettering a cross the top of the head stock ( like the logo on a Joe Maphis)
Then I lacquered over it.
How cool would it be to have on your custom guitar your bands logo, your name or nick-name,
Some people even like to give each one of there guitars personal names like "Big Red" and so on.
Anyway, That's an option I offering on all my guitars.

Mel, when you get some extra time could you, pretty please, generate
me an "El Twang" model E.F.Elliott head stock mockup.
Thanks a Bunch!!
Ed
How about El Twango? I'd buy that one!
