Matze, I'm going to post the guitar in your link as well as a White one I've saved in my Photobucket album.
Both guitars are beautiful.

Those are really nice shots. Have there been any design changes made with the new batch of 60's?

Spec-wise, I'm fairly sure they're the same. Bob Shade told me there will be a new color option: red, white and blue sparkle: stripes like the bass on the wall at Front Porch Music.

:-) great pics...

I did some more research concerning sound:

- some Custom 60 owners said: great sound, but it's not the closest to a real mosrite. "nice tone in its own way". It seems to sound a bit darker than a mosrite (because of: pot values, set neck, pups, alder body instead of basswood ????? just guessing :geek: ). Some have changed the pots to brighten up the sound.

Unfortunatelly I don have the opportunity to try out one of these, but the HallmarkSweptWing. Can anybody of you tell the difference in sound between the custom 60 and the Swept Wing ?

cheers
Matze

Did he say when this was going to be available?, this has been a favourite finish of mine for a long, long time.

Johnny,
He mentioned it earlier this past summer. Bob said he is having another bunch of the 60 Customs made, including the red/white/blue sparkle (on the phone he described it as blue on the bottom, white in the middle, and red on the top). At that time, delivery was expected around the middle of fall, so that would be now. E-mail Hallmark, or give them a call and inquire. Let us know what you find out.

The new color wil be Red White and Silver Metallic. They will star shipping mid October. I got this info right from Bob Shade.

Beaten to the punch...ah well
The price is $999.00 with the alligator hard shell case. Shipping to UK is 180.00 for Express so i'm guessing it'll be round about the same for the rest of europe.

Hi again,

I asked Bob, if there's a possibility to ship less expensive. Since i have to pay VAT and Customs on both - guitar and shipping - i hope i can save some money. Currently waiting for an answer, so i can order mine soon :)

mucho reverbs
