Yes, basses and lefties would be great additions to the line. Heck, make the basses with guitar bodies if that keeps the cost down - we know Semie made at least some that way.

He would definitely expand his market some if he made Lefty's. There are a lot of left handed guitarists, out there.

Yep, bought it straight off the website .... http://hallmarkguitars.com/instruments/ ... custom.htm ... using PayPal and it's a pleasure doing business with Bob Shade. The deal went ever so smooth; my Hallmark 60 Custom arrived on my doorstep within one week(!)

Total cost for me was US$ 1,049,-- (EURO 909,26) (including shipping, insurance and import duties...and...a Hallmark -crocodile- hardshell case!) :P

If you want a new Hallmark 60 Custom, you have to buy direct from there web-sight. I have never seen or heard of any dealers for them. Bob is a pleasure to deal with and the guitars are as good as you can get.

so hypothetically, if i had just got my annual bonus and had a couple of bucks to spare, AND was less hung up on name brands than on playability and tone, should i go with the Hallmark or go with the Ranger? The Ranger would be the extreme end (and then some) of my budget but if it is significantly better than the Hallmark i'd do it. If the Hallmark is its equal, i'd go there.

anyone? I get the hypothetical bonus tomorrow and my wallet is already getting warm....

Hello sromeo,

I guess there is one member already owning a ranger and thinking bout buying a Hallmark - I think it is Bruno ?

So he will be able to give helpful advice (after having purchased the hallmark ;) )...

I just have a pearl white Hallmark custom 60 (and love it), but I don't own a ranger - haven't even tried one so far. My descision for the Custom was because of the wider fretboard at the nut (having big hands / long fingers).
