Re: Sad news today-
Thanks for posting the clip Terry - Bob's guitar style was graceful, and the medley touches on so many great songs. Of course his bass playing was also great. Condolences to his family and all of the Ventures.

Re: Sad news today-
Sad indeed. I met Bob a couple times at the NAMM show and he seemed like a genuinely nice guy. One of my favorite guitar players too, his light touch on the Jazzmaster-era Ventures stuff is highly underrated. I knew he was sick for a long time, but still, it's really sad to hear that he's passed.
At least in heaven he won't have all these guitar nerds driving him crazy asking about Mosrites....
Sorry, just trying to bring a little levity to the situation.

That is very sad, a great bass player and guitarist will be missed, at least he got to see The Ventures into the Hall of Fame...

Another sad note - Bob Bogle
Bob Bogle passed away today. RIP Bob.

I never realized how great a bass player he was until I watched the Venture's 30th Annivesary on DVD. I never heard a guuy play bass with a pick and be as fluid as he was. He was really under-rated.
