My first attemt at making a Mosrite clone.

The first 8 pics are the oldest. The last were taken this week. I found some Mosrite replica knobs on the bay but they didn't fit the pots I had. I have some coming from StewMac that should fit. Constructive criticism is welcome. I have never seen a real Mosrite other than pics etc. Please feel free to critique the German carve especially. It seems that there are a lot of variations out there :shock:

I still have a lot of fine sanding annd tweakinfg to do

There are some that I did some thing wrong on and they didn't load properly. I'll try to post some that are better later on.

Too many [Img's] in the wrong place. Some of them had the Img tag already on the photo when you transferred it from Photobucket. Best way is to attach one photo at a time and check each one of them by hitting the Preview button before hitting the Submit button. You will see right off if everything is alright.

Afew better shots

Swamp Ash is very grainy will have to use some think grain sealer.

Still have a lot of fine sanding left

You are doing an excellent job! Did you try drilling out the knobs to fit the pots? Might work for ya.

No i didn't. I had a set of StewMac pots for a PRS type waiting in the wings and the shafts fit perfectly so I ordered a couple more. Thanks for the compliment, still have a long way to go. I'm waiting on the neck wood now. Anyone know where I can get a template of the neck lateral profile? It is going to be a set neck.

Your project is looking very smart, German carve and all! Wow!
I love the grain pattern in the wood; I cannot even detect the join. What finish are you thinking of doing bluther? Sunburst would look great on this baby I reckon.
Great pics too man, good job. Look forward in seeing the end product.
