I had the VM-65 with the Strat-style Vibrato I'm pretty sure it was made in Korea.To me the neck felt like a Gibson LP I used to own.It played and sounded pretty good for a low end model.
I would have kept it but I really don't like Strat-style Vibrato!I prefer either a Bigsby Or Vibramute.

Don't you mean the Jazzmaster style Vibrato?... The MIJ Aria Wilson Bros. seems to be the best model to have.

The VM-65 had the Strat-style Vibrato It is the lower end model.

I have a VM-65 and it's a great guitar especially for the $250 I scored it for on ebay. It nails vintage Ventures Jazzmaster sounds as well or better that the "real thing." Is it a Mosrite? No. Is it a nice player with cool sounds? Definitely yes. And the trem, at least on mine, is great.

I agree on sound and play ability and the vibrato worked fine, I just prefer a Bigsby or Vibramute to the Strat or Jaguar-style Vibrato, just my own personal preference.

I just got one on ebay for $205.00 I want to buy a Hallmark but they're out of stock. So I figured this wasn't too big a risk. Should get it in a couple of days...can't wait to try it out!! I haven't been playing for several years do I'll really have to limber up.

I just got one on ebay for $205.00 I want to buy a Hallmark but they're out of stock. So I figured this wasn't too big a risk. Should get it in a couple of days...can't wait to try it out!! I haven't been playing for several years do I'll really have to limber up.

Now the relationship between Don Wilson and Mosrite was strained a best right?
With that said, does it seem strange to anybody else that the Wilson Bros. guitar would be so Mosrity, I thought he didn't like the necks and pups etc. I love D.W. the most underrated guitarist/composer of the 60's.
