"1958-1960 Semie lived in Granada Hills in the San Fernando Valley and built guitars in a small shed. (this according to Terry McArthur, who apprenticed for Semie during this time)
Hello,
I must make a correction to this entry. I don't know where the above quote came from but if we're trying to cement the chronology. - Remember that I was still in high school at the time. There were actually 2 work shops (garages). I worked with Semie in 1958 and up to the summer of 1959. This is the point that Semie was having domestic problems and moved from the house in Granada Hills. He told me he was going to go back to the gospel tours. He offered to sell me all his tools and wood at the time so it didn't appear that he had any immediate plans to start up operations in another location. Unfortunately, I never met up with Semie again. That's my best recollection of the time frame.

Well, I guess we'll have to make a little update to that time line. - Terry
