The Monkees?
Aside from this video (nice music too!) I noticed The Banana Splits too and watched two of their vids.
...they appeared sometimes when the Scooby-Doo re-runs were aired on this side of the world. I used to watch the shows together with my then toddler son, during the nineties

These are the 'Red Rose Tea Chimps' trying to stage a comeback. History records that they were politically incorrect, BUT...
I wonder if I've been looking in the wrong place to find sidemen...

Re: Recognize these guy's?
Paul,
My five year old daughter likes the Banana Splits. My wife and I watch, and wonder what the creators of the series were smoking. It was Hanna Barbera's venture into "live" kids shows (still using animated segments within the live action shell).
I noticed that film director Richard Donner (Superman, etc.) directed the Danger Island segments.
As for Danny's chimps: I do wonder who provided the music. Wouldn't be at all surprise if it was members of The Wrecking Crew.
