Most of the time I only read through the forum... just because I have nothing much to contribute...
but now I urgently need to say that this build is just outstanding. I'd love to read a little bit more about the making of the pickup bobbins and the pickup ring... how did you make the model/mold for it? I'm so curious... would you mind if I ask for a few more pics about the process?

Re: Bass Time!
Popp I have some sort of hobby two-pack silicone putty, wich I fom around an original mosrite ring:
It hardens in about ten minutes than I pull out the ring and it is ready for casting:
For the casting I use polyesterresin and some black pigmentpowder.(boneblack)
The bobbin is just a block of maple and two pieces of clear 1mm acrylic sheetplastic (its from a sort of menucardholder that they use in restaurants ) superglued together and sanded into shape.

Über-cool,
thank you so much for the explanation, Oigun!
I have to read through the whole thread again, there are a few more questions I guess...
Can't wait to see more.

Do you have another picture that shows how you press the pup cover in shape?
I was thinking about it the whole morning... my brain hurts...

Re: Bass Time!
Popp. I don't have a pic its a quick process but I will mock something up.
Its just a piece of plastic with a block ontop of the aluminum mould, picture that under a drillpress.
I need some other kind of press becaus I have the feeling my drillpress didnt like the pressure much....
Sara: can you hear the sleighbells in the snow?
