I removed it as apparently Strat-o-rama was typing the necessay answer at the same time I was. No need for two of the same explanations.

Ah okay.

Just one more thing that doesn't worry me too much: How tall are the Hallmark frets in relation to an original Mosrite and in relation to a modern Fender?

The frets on the Hallmark are small, but instead of being filed down flat, they are filed into a triangular shape, creating a low but defined edge. Personally, I really like them, because they are small enough to retain the fast neck action, yet defined enough for clean string bending.

Veenture wrote:Sorry, not a guitar tech, (don't have the proper measuring tools) but I observe that the frets on my Hallmark 60 Custom stand 1 mm tall [thickness: 2 mm] whereas the zero fret measures 1.2 to 1.3 mm in height [thickness: 2.5 mm]. I took both measurements from the surface of the fingerboard up. (my Hallmark 60 Custom has a chromed string guide and the string spacing is a tad wider than the Mosrite's).

Sorry for bumping this again. However, I've hit a bit of a snag.

None of the family have Paypal accounts. Could there be a different method of payment? Because, I know that we have to order online and things like that, but it takes my right to a paypal payment thing.

So, is there a different way I could pay for the 60 Custom other than paypal?

Not that I know of, but it is a painless procedure. After you purchase and receive the guitar just cancel the account.

Opening a PayPal account shouldn't be that difficult to do. It has opened doors for me, such as ebay. You could also ask Bob Shade of Hallmark guitars directly, he's a forum member here too and always willing to help. Just send him a PM.

Just pay through your bank. Hopefully you do your banking on-line. Add Hallmark as a payee & send them a check. Just be sure to tell bob that you're doing that so he's expecting the check. The check won't be issued unless there is suffetient funds, but he still may wanna hold the guitar until the check clears his bank.

But imo, just open a Paypal acct. You might as well, cuz once you buy one Hallmark, you're gonna start buying more Hallmarks and Mosrites.
In order of purchase:
1) Mosrite Ranger
2) V88
3) Stereo 350
4) Hallmark II in Johnny Blue
5) Danelectro '66
6) Celebrity III
7) Hallmark Gospel
8) Serenade
9) Eastwood 300

I understand. But I just don't to have to go through the trouble. Also, there's the matter of someone somehow getting my account information. I just think that's there's a bit of trouble involved.
