I'm going to guess that was probably an Impala or a Corvette. Here's my Impala, the Corvette had 3 pickups. Roger, aka rockaction on here, loves his!

Thanks for all the comments guys!

I agree about everything, including the bodies on some of the HII's being pretty ugly lumber. Not the case now. Even the low-end Hagstroms are vastly better quality, with only one change I don't like...the necks are chunkier! I have an F200, and F200T for my students who need new guitars, a Select Super Swede quilt-top (my favorite) and a Viking Deluxe flame-maple body. IMHO my ol '67, good as it is, is a far cry from what the modern Hagstroms have become. The modern neck construction still uses the patented aluminum truss-rod channel, which has survived 43 years in my ol' 67 with absolutely NO adjustments!

I spent a lot of time looking for good dollar/quality value for my students, and I feel the Hagstrom line supplies it very well.

When I was a 6th grade guitar student, my instructor had a son which I looked up to that was quite a bit older than me. He played a Hagstrom hollow bodied guitar that I think was a Viking. That's always been a guitar that I'd like to own.

I can't imagine them being any chunkier on the HIIN/F200 models. That's probably about the thickest neck I own. On the other hand my Viking was like a toothpick.

Get your hands on a Hagstrom Super Swede, and you'll never look back. Fully switchable 'buckers that allow you to make Strats and Tele's run for the hills, then out-mellow any Gibson out there. For my experience with guitars, which includes just about anything out there that has strings on it, best bang for the buck is a Hag!

IMHO, that is... :D

OK, I have always had the thought of owning a Gibson LP one day but never got round to getting one; had my Fender(s) of course but the main reason probably being the pricey tag, I guess... but of late because of the present monkey CEO at Gibbons'

Oldrocknroller's post got me thinking and the GAS came on and just wouldn't leave...
I'll keep it short, this is what I came accross today on ebay, so snagged it up immediately -because... "if you snooze...." :P
(a brand new one is almost double the price...over here, at least!)

So now after elation the agony of waiting sets on... :?

Congrats! Some e-bay "new" guitars have blemishes, ergo the reduced price, but I have experienced that most of them are so minor as to be irrelevant. Hope you enjoy for many years!
