Hi gang,

Well, I can now more than ever say that this has turned into one of the best guitars ever!!!
Here's a pic from El Ray's show in Belgium last Saturday.

Very cool! The RS and the Jazzmaster work very well together - their different sonic characteristics complement each other well.

Do you find you use the mute at all? I've found it useful in a number of applications where palm muting isn't feasible, like fast strumming near the neck. Unlike the Fender mute, it actually stays in tune!

Eddy, have you ever made a flip mute bridge compensated for an unwound G string?

Mel - No, not really although the flip mute is mighty cool and a well done feature on the RS.

Hey Guys and Gals,

I thought I would share a couple of photos of the guitars I'm building
right now, a Black RS Sandard, a Sunburst RS DeLuxe and a custom TV
Yellow "65 Mark I. The very next RS model l build is going to feature my
take on the"Brass Rail" Neck, a 1/4 wide Brass bar embedded down the center
of the fingerboard and the frets driven right into the brass bar.
Incredible tone and sustain! I was lucky enought to work side-by-side with
ol' Uncle Semie on the very last 20 Mosrite Brass Rail model ever made back in
1978 at the old Bakersfield shop.
So this New RS Brass Rail model will be my first Brass Rail in 32 years, I'll keep
everone posted with photos

wow!!! those look great! Is the DeLuxe going to have a strat style blade switch or some other p-up selection method.

Also, will you be documenting the brass-rail process?

Hey Mel,

How's things going out there in California?
The RS DeLuxe is going to have a 5-way
Strat style switch. Lots of diffrent sounds.
I plan on taking quite a few "Brass Rail" production
photos. I'm going to Build a Sunburst RS "Brass Rail" guitar an
a matching RS "Brass Rail" Bass Guitar with a 34" scale neck.
