Weird, just saw a post about it. Apparently it was a heart attack.

Rest In Peace, Ed Roman. Though he had a negative reputation I'm sure it wasn't all that bad, Many of us have those dog days.

Re: RIP Ed Roman
Bon voyage, Ed. Thank you.
You were definitely a major force in keeping the passion for Mosrite alive. 'Remember the "big store" in Vegas very, very fondly. An enormous amount of time, work, sweat, love and resources went into that place.
Another guitar legend passes.
Condolences to all who mourn.

Nah, I think he really was all bad...JUST KIDDING! I hate see anyone pass on. I had a nice public argument with him at his booth at the NAMM Show in 2008. I stopped to check out the Mosrites he was putting together and he made an asinine remark about The Ventures and Jimi Hendrix, so I respectfully called him on it. There were quite a few people standing around. He kept bashing The Ventures horribly, I then introduced myself, showing him my badge which read "Wilson Guitar Ventures, Inc" and thanked him for his time. Its too bad, I would like to have remembered him on a more positive note. Rest in peace, Ed.
How dare you presume to inject, using reproducible facts and rational thought, an on-topic discussion into a thread that had degenerated from sarcasm, personal invective, and hand-waving arguments?
