Don Wilson's slab Ventures II

Postby maxkat » Tue Apr 15, 2014 1:50 pm

Hello slab Ventures II aficionados,

just googled over this site or blog, and if I understand Google Translate's English right we can see Don Wilson's slab Ventures II being played live in a Ventures cover band:

Here are the (hotlinked) pictures, credits go to the copyright holder:

If I get it right that pictured Ventures II should be the one and same as on this picture (hotlinked again):

Perhaps Adam can jump in and tell us what's written in that Japanese blog.

Cheers,
Max

I may be wrong, but I believe the filmore guy owns/owned this guitar and, it might be #001. Feel free to correct this info. Cool photos, thanks for posting.

Correction as requested, Rocco. The former Fillmore slab is B097, as pictured below.

Hasn't B001 been the one Nokie Edwards owned?
If I get the translation on this Japanese blog right, Don Wilson's Ventures II has been custom made for his rhythm guitar needs – perhaps it does not have a regular serial number?
I would have credited Fillmore for having more than one slab Ventures II – Adam, is that white slab at Fillmore's that B097 from your calendar sheet? (Thanks a lot Adam for your hi-res picture of B097!)

Pictures are taken from the old Fillmore blog in 2003 (if I remember right. Credits to the copyright owner, I guess Fillmore).
