Very early Venture's model

Postby TerryTNM » Wed May 14, 2014 6:04 am

Hello,
Mitchell Britt sent me this photo of himself and his sister on the Slim Mims TV show in S. Carolina in 1963. What appears to be one of the first Venture's guitars. https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=804702892873245&set=gm.10152440786732139&type=1

Wow! Any idea on the story behind the guitar - how/why he got it, how long he had it, etc?

Nice picture Terry!

That was the standard 63. The roller bridge and brass sand cast tailpiece were optional. It seems most that were produced were made with the optional roller bridge making the stationary bridge and flip mute a rarer model.
