need a favor, need a measurement

Postby Nitromessiah » Tue Oct 07, 2014 2:38 pm

Could someone with a Ventures model, measure the distance (in inches) from the center of the bridge roller, to the face of the tremolo where the strings come out? I'm relocating the bridge on my Hallmark, and would like to check it against the original.

Dude, you're "relocating the bridge"?

Do you know what you're getting into?

the bridge (the part with the saddles) will stay put. The tremolo, the part with the wangbar, I'm moving forward for more downforce on the saddles. I'm also plugging and redrilling the G and E string holes on the trem for more downforce. Bob Shade told me they have moved the trem forward on the current production, so I"m on the right track... I was just curious what a real Ventures model was.

Oh okay. You said "relocating the bridge" and I had visions of you ruining your guitar.
