Re: Operation JRM2 engaged
Thanks for the kind words guys I appreciate it. I had a little extra time to rout the pickup and control cavities and mount the pick guard and I'm going to wait on routing out the neck pocket till I get that made. in the mean time here's some more picks.

Re: Operation JRM2 engaged
Well the poplar I got ended up not being kiln dried so the body warped quite a bit sothis project is being put on hold but in the mean time I ordered some maple from a hardwood supplier on ebay and have started on one of two neck that I'm going to build. The first neck is to be the mate for my 1966 mosrite ventures model twelve string body and the other is going to be for a future project here's some pics to tide you over till then.
neck after I cut the side profile
some pics after some shaping I ran into a problem when cutting around the headstock the router bit chipped away a little too much.

...sort of a twisted idea
. How about shaving the depth of the body to half or more (thickness wise), and make a Wall Clock out of it??? There's places where you can purchase the internal parts for a clock, and can install the clock parts on just about anything you want. Another words, make a Ramones Wall Clock for your Family, Living, or any other Room in the House
. Heck, you could probably put a PIC of the Ramones on the body as a backgroung B4 you put the hands and numbers on it
.
I'm not sure what I'm going to do with it.

Well Kev, either it was a bad idea, or you are already building the Clock.

Re: Operation JRM2 engaged
sorry I haven't responded yet Dennis, Yeah that's an idea. If I go that route I'll just make a pick guard out of 1/8" plywood and paint it black.

Nah, I'll just keep it simple if I do. In the mean time here's some more pics of my project
