Ventures II neck

Postby johnnyboy1234 » Wed Feb 11, 2009 8:40 am

I have a Ventures II neck (serial # B174)...could someone please tell me if this was the Ramones style model, the transitional, or when Semi stuck Ventures II necks on Mark 5 bodies.
The date on the neck is August 1965. Thanxx

1966 Mosrite Mark V
1984 Gibson Les Paul

I think that may have been close to the transitional period. I know that limited slab body models were produced from the middle of 64 to the middle of 65. I'm not 100% sure though someone who does know might want to chime in.

Where the neck fits into the body, on a slab body guitar the corners are rounded off. On the Mark II style the ends are pretty square.
