First thing I'd try is lube the string tree.

There's a Thread on what to check in case your guitar does not stay in tune, everything from
"What are the correct amount of windings around the tuning post" when restringing, to the
correct spring to use for the Trem System depending on what gauge strings you are using,
and just about everything else in between.....

The equipped spring seems to be larger than the replacement that came in the case. I'm not very techie, but I assume the larger spring accommodates heavier string gauges? I play 10-52s. I had the guitar set up not long after I got it, but haven't replaced the strings yet myself. I'll do a little digging for those threads, thanks.

Strat-O-Rama: [quote=The "Guitar Driven Instro Rock' guitars at home. A AVRI 'Thinskin' '57 RI with 6150 frets....//...

:) A gorgeous threesome Strat-O-Rama! I have a MIM Fender Strat -Daphne Blue/W maple neck and also a Hallmark 60 Custom -Sunburst. Love 'em! But I'm wondering what AVRI stands for...
AVRI 'Thinskin' '57 RI with 6150 frets. I'm not familiar with the term, ...is it by Fender?

AVRI = American Vintage Re-Issue. Fender makes AVRI Strats, Teles, Jazzmasters, Jaguars, P and J Basses. Sadly, no AVRI Mustangs, XII, VI or Marauder. ;)
Oy vey - it's MESHUGGA BEACH PARTY - The world's premier Jewish Surf Music Band!

Veenture,
Thanks for the comment on the living room set-up.
I'm not gigging these days (did quite a bit in the '90s, however), and sometimes feel like I have a lot of guitars for someone not putting them to work. Not pictured is a sunburst AVRI Strat and '52 AVRI Telecaster....and a Gibson ES295.
My wife, Michelle, actually likes them.

Oh man, she's a gem - you better keep her! My wife treats my guitars like unwanted stepchildren from a previous marriage  .

Strat-o-rama, ...and for her perhaps one step away from actually getting to play 'em herself even? ;)

I remember, awhile back, John (mosriteforever) mentioning there was something "special" about the first run of 60 Custom's that the rest of the runs didn't have. Not the plastic string tree, but something else. Was that ever revealed? :?:

It was the headstock overlay - the first run had black, not matching, headstocks.
